1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the RIMNET application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RIMNET Technologies ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
Important: Additional consumer protection rights may apply based on your location, as outlined in these Terms.
2. Service Description
RIMNET is a basketball training application that uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to:
- Track and analyze basketball shots using your device's camera
- Provide shooting performance analytics and statistics
- Offer personalized training recommendations
- Enable progress tracking and goal setting
- Connect with other players and coaches (premium features)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time with at least 30 days' advance notice to users. In case of service discontinuation, EU users will receive appropriate refunds for unused subscription periods.
3. User Accounts and Age Requirements
To use certain features of RIMNET, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Update your information when it changes
Age Requirements:
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use RIMNET. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has created an account should contact us at support@rimnet.ai.
Note: This app is rated 16+ in app stores. Parents can use family controls to restrict access for younger users.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the application
- Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content through the platform
- Interfere with other users' experience or violate their rights
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Use automated systems or bots to interact with the service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conduct guidelines, with appropriate notice and opportunity for appeal.
5. Privacy & Data Collection
Your privacy is important to us. Our data practices include:
- Performance Data: Shooting statistics, training progress, and analytics
- Camera Access: Video processing for shot tracking (processed locally on your device when possible)
- Usage Data: App usage statistics to improve our service
- Account Data: Registration information for service delivery
- Device Data: Technical information about your device for compatibility
Data Retention:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active plus 3 years
- Performance data: Retained for 5 years or until deletion requested
- Usage analytics: Anonymized after 2 years
- Marketing data: Until consent is withdrawn

6. Data Protection Rights
Regardless of your location, we respect your data protection rights and provide the following protections:

Request deletion of your personal data under certain circumstances

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@rimnet.ai. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if applicable in your jurisdiction.
Legal Basis for Processing: We process your data based on contract performance, legitimate interests, and your consent where required.
7. Subscription Terms
RIMNET offers both free and premium subscription tiers:
Free Tier
Basic shot tracking and limited analytics at no cost.
Premium Tier
Advanced analytics, coaching features, unlimited tracking, and social features.
Payment Terms:
- Subscription payments are processed through your device's app store
- Prices are clearly displayed before purchase and include applicable taxes
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- You can cancel anytime through your app store account settings
- No partial refunds for unused subscription periods except as required by law
8. Withdrawal Rights
You have the right to withdraw from digital content purchases within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason.
Withdrawal Process:
- Send a clear withdrawal statement to support@rimnet.ai
- Include your account details and purchase information
- We will process your refund within 14 days
- Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for purchase
Loss of Withdrawal Right:
You lose the right to withdraw if you have started using the premium features after acknowledging that you will lose your withdrawal right by beginning use.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of RIMNET are owned by RIMNET Technologies and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of your personal data and shooting statistics. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use this data solely to provide and improve our services. This license terminates when you delete your account.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the application without our explicit written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
RIMNET is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for:
- Injuries that may occur during basketball training or physical activity
- Accuracy limitations of shot tracking or analytics technology
- Technical issues, service interruptions, or data loss
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
EU Consumer Rights:
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Defective products under applicable consumer protection laws
- Any liability that cannot be excluded under EU law
11. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement:
- You: May delete your account and stop using the service at any time
- We: May suspend or terminate accounts for violations with appropriate notice and opportunity to remedy
- Service Discontinuation: We may discontinue the service with 90 days' notice
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data only as long as legally required or until you request deletion.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
EU Users:
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. However, as an EU consumer, you retain the protection of mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
Non-EU Users:
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes will be resolved in Irish courts.
Language:
These terms are provided in English. If translated, the English version prevails in case of conflicts.
