Getting started

From pocket to court in one minute.

No sensors, no smart rims, no gear to buy. Here's exactly how a RIMNET session starts - and why the court you already have is the arena.

Getting started

Any hoop. Any phone. Zero hardware.

No sensors, no smart rims, no gear to buy. The court you already have is the arena — setup takes about a minute.

A phone placed at the base of the hoop, camera aimed up at the rim, tracking shots
  1. Place your phone

Set it on the ground at the base of the hoop, camera aimed up at the rim — no tripod, no stand, no gear.

  2. Point it at the rim

The AI locks on and counts every make and miss in real time — 99% accuracy, trained on 175,000+ real shots.

  3. Play

Challenges, XP, leagues — the session is live. Every shot counts, and every one of them is real.

Placement rules

Three rules for a perfect lock-on.

A net is non-negotiable

The AI reads the net's movement to call a make. No net on the rim, no scores on the board - it's the one hard requirement.

Ground level, at the base

Lay the phone on the ground at the base of the hoop, camera aimed up at the rim. No tripods, no stands, no elevation.

Light it and lock it

Good lighting, a clear view of rim and net, minimal background movement - and a phone that stays put.

Good to know

Quick answers.

How does shot detection work?
RIMNET uses computer vision and AI to analyze the hoop through your phone's camera, tracking made and missed shots in real time — no wearables, no sensors on the rim.
What devices are supported?
RIMNET runs on iOS and Android. For the smoothest experience we recommend a device with at least 3GB of RAM.
Can I play indoors and outdoors?
Yes — any standard basketball court works, indoor or outdoor, as long as there's adequate lighting for the camera.

Your hoop is waiting.
